What are the odds? A military marriage to a foreign bride.?

I have a friend who recently got married. She’s from Asia, and never lived outside her country before. She married a military man here in the States. I know that they’re facing a lot of difficulties (him being stationed somewhere else for long periods of time). I hear it’s bad enough for a military marriages to survive with both people being from the same country. What are the odds that they’ll stay together?

The odds don’t depend on the “military” part or the “foreign” part. It depends on how strong their love is. I’ve been with my husband for 3 years. He is in the military. For two of those years he lived in a different state. We got married one year ago. Over the past 12 months he has spent 9 in Iraq and will be there for 6 more. Our love is stronger than ever and our marriage will survive. Both people have to be committed and willing to deal with many trials and tribulations and not always being together.
