after watching an episode of simpsons where bart got a mail order bride and she’s beautiful and is a great cook. i googled “mail order brides” and i got a website that has russian and ukrainian women and they are BEAUTIFUL. Is it really true that they are mail order brides? are they fake pictures? stuff like this seems to good to be true.
by the way, in the simpsons, she was shipped in a crate i think. is it like that for real?

However, there is no longer any such thing as a “mail order bride.” I guarantee you that by the time you obtain a visa from the US CIS/State Department/Embassy, you will know if you love her or if she loves you.

A woman can not get a visa to come to the US and then divorce you. If she divorces you within 3 years, or before her status is changed to permanent (minimum 2 years), she automatically gets deported. Even if she divorces and remarries in the US, she has to go back and apply for a new visa.

Don’t believe everything people here (with no experience in it at all) say. But heed the warnings – there are many sites that are scams. If you want to look for a bride from the CIS or Russia, use a reputable site (there are a few).
